Package Templates
The Package Templates option in Image Tools allows you to multiply and size your image according to a template. You can use the package template tool (Figure 1) to select an existing template and adjust settings for that template. You can also use the [Template Manager] to edit, create, import, or export templates. You can select from the following options when using [Package Templates]: Select an image to enable the package template options. If using an existing template, select that template from the drop-down menu. A preview of that template appears after selecting a template. To use a new template or change an existing one, use the [Template Manager]. Auto-rotate images to fit - This option automatically rotates the images so they fit within the template, while also conserving media. Clip image to fit - This option keeps you image the exact size of the cells in the template and crops the image to fit if it needs to. This can be a better use of media and follows the template exactly, but may cut off parts of the image. Size image to fit - This option scales the image to fit the cells in the template and does not crop any part of the image. The image may not fill the exact size of the cells and there may be more white space between images with this option. Template Manager Click [Template Manager...] button to open the "Template Manager" Dialog (Figure 2). This tool allows you to edit, create, import, or export a template. If you are editing a template, select that template from the drop down menu. The following options are available in the “Template Manager” Dialog: New - Click this button to create a new template. This will automatically set the name of the template to Defualt, but you can change it in "Template Manager". Save - Click this button to save any changes you have made to a new or existing template. Copy - Click this button to make a duplicate of the template you have currently selected. Delete - Click this button to delete the template you have currently selected. Import... - Click this button to import a template with an [.xml] file. Export... - Click this button to export a template to an [.xml] file. Cell Selection - Select the cell you want to modify. The selected cell appears with a dotted line around it. You can select it by either clicking on it or using the up-down arrows, which selects the corresponding numbered cell. You can add a new cell by clicking [New] button. You can add a copy of the selected cell by clicking [Copy] button. You can delete the selected cell by clicking [Delete button ]. Cell Properties - This option allows you to edit the dimensions and placement of the cells in your template. Select the cell you want to adjust and use theup-down arrows to change the [Width], [Height], and the [X Position] or [Y Position] of the cell. It will not allow you to increase to more than the size of the template. Template Properties - This option allows you to edit the template you have selected. You can enter a new name for the template in the Name field. You can also change the [Width] and [Height] of the whole template by using the up-down arrows. You can change the background color by clicking [Configure] and selecting a color with RGB values. You can also select to [Auto-rotate images to fit], [Clip image to fit], or [Size image to fit].
